Critter Cruise
60 minutes – Annapolis
Offered in partnership with the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park, this field trips offers hands-on learning with “critters” of the Chesapeake Bay including crabs, fish, and oysters. Students visit interactive stations around the boat while they cruise along local waterways.
Meets STEM and Environmental Literacy standards.
Suggested Grade Level: All Ages.

Chesapeake 101
3 hours – Annapolis
Offered in partnership with the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park, Chesapeake 101 includes outdoor hands on STEM activities including a 40-minute narrated cruise on the Harbor Queen. Students will use their problem solving skills in a STEM team building activity as well as participate in 3 additional stations of your choosing (full list provided upon request):
- Oyster tonging activity
- Exploring oyster reef critters
- Oyster dissection
- Watershed pollution activity
- Seining for life in the creek – in hip waders (provided)
- Blue crab ecology

Aquatic Adventures with the National Aquarium
A fully coordinated 3-4 hour itinerary – Baltimore
Spend the day on and under the sea! Watermark and the National Aquarium package what you learn at the Aquarium with an opportunity to get out on the water on a Baltimore Harbor Cruise. The 45-minute cruise explores Baltimore’s harbor treasures, the important history of the waterfront and its role today as a working port. Eat lunch on the boat while you cruise past Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, Fort McHenry and much more.
