Colonial Stroll + Annapolis Harbor Cruise

Our most popular field trip! Combine our Colonial Stroll walking tour with the narrated 40-minute Annapolis Harbor & U.S. Naval Academy boat cruise to give your students the complete Annapolis experience on land and water. Add-on a tour of the United States Naval Academy for an especially memorable visit. Students may eat their lunch at Susan Campbell Park in between tours or aboard Harbor Queen during the cruise. Students will learn what life was like in the 18th Century from a Colonial guide and explore the Maryland State House*. Engaging, educational and entertaining.

U.S. Naval Academy Land & Sea
– Annapolis –
Experience the United States Naval Academy from land with a customized 90 minute tour of the Yard including building interiors* and historic landmarks such as Bill the Goat and the John Paul Jones crypt. Our guides are USNA certified annually. Add a narrated 40 minute cruise along the banks of the Naval Academy to complete the picture of this historic institution, home to over 4,500 midshipmen. Students may eat lunch at Susan Campbell Park before their cruise or onboard Harbor Queen.

Aquatic Adventures with the National Aquarium

Spend the day on and under the sea with Cruises on the Bay by Watermark and the National Aquarium! Connect what you learn at the Aquarium to our local waterways by getting out on the water on a Baltimore Harbor Cruise. The 45-minute cruise explores Baltimore’s harbor treasures, the important history of the waterfront and its role today as a working port. See Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, Fort McHenry and the Under Armour headquarters from the decks of a Watermark yacht.

Colonial Eye Spy & Hogshead

What was it like to be a colonial child? It was very different from what children know about today and yet the same! Walk the streets of Annapolis, learn the rhymes, play the games of the past. You will also stop in Hogshead where this hands-on, living history program will speaks of trades and family roles in colonial times. Your students will discover what it was like to live in a 2 room middle class 18th century home. Your students will enjoy their trip back in time to Colonial days on this tour.
Suggested Grade Level: Kindergarten-3rd grade
Challenge of the Pirate Quest
– Annapolis –
Engage your students with actual tales of pirates who prowled the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Once they build a tool used by sailors of old, students will step aboard and cruise the Bay discovering little know facts about maritime history and piracy. Ingenuity and teamwork will be needed from the students to unravel the mystery of this treasure.
