Colonial Eye Spy

90 minutes – Annapolis

What was it like to be a colonial child? It was very different from what children know about today and yet the same! Walk the streets of Annapolis, learn the rhymes, play the games of the past. Your students will enjoy their trip back in time to Colonial days on this tour. Come have an adventure with our colonial guides!

Colonial Stroll and Maryland State House

90 minutes – Annapolis

Follow the footsteps of heroes through historic Annapolis. Led by an 18th-century guide, students will learn about life and the important figures that help make Annapolis what it is today. The tour includes the Maryland State House*, the Old Senate Chamber where George Washington resigned as Commander-in-Chief, and viewing of the newly-installed resignation speech and statues of Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass.

Annapolis Naval Academy Field Trip

United States Naval Academy

90 minutes – Annapolis

Be immersed in the sights and sounds of the U.S. Naval Academy, home to over 4,500 midshipmen. Tour THE YARD with many interior buildings and historic landmarks.

Annapolis Tours Thurgood Marshall Memorial

African American Heritage “Heritage Award Winner”

2 hours  – Annapolis

In partnership with the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation, this unique walking tour engages students as they trace the rich history of African-Americans in Annapolis with their impact nationally and internationally. Key historical sites including the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Memorial and the Thurgood Marshall Memorial are a part of this journey.

Civil War Tour

2 hours – Annapolis

Stroll through Annapolis and the USNA to hear stories of citizens’ roles during the war that pitted neighbor against neighbor, friend against friend and brother against brother.

War of 1812 “Heritage Award Winner”

2 hours – Baltimore

We bring you back 50 years after the War of Independence to 1812 when the nation was fighting the British once again. Our Regency guides take you to many stops associated with Francis Scott Key, and the US Navy as a force to be reckoned. This was a time that signified the rebirth of our nation.

Hear of notable women from the 1600’s to present day and how they impacted women’s rights today. We will also take you into the Maryland State House to visit Harriet Tubman.

Colonial Myths & Legends

2 hours – Annapolis

Once upon a time in days of old… This historic titillating tale of gossip and superstition gives insight to small town life in Annapolis. Learn about the most notorious colonial inhabitants and the tales that ran rampant from slave and servant to “upper crust.” An 18th-century garden visit highlights curious medical remedies of colonial days.

Once this nation’s capital, and now the oldest State House in continuous legislative use in the country, this is a gem not to be missed.

William Paca House Kitchen

15 minutes

The Pacas’ servants have full run of the kitchen and can tell stories about the comings and goings of the households as only they see them. They will share their knowledge of traditional foods and the dishes favored by the Pacas and their guests.
