FAQs

Public Cruises and Water Taxi

From where do you cruise?

Our public cruises in Annapolis depart from Annapolis City Dock. Our public cruises in Baltimore depart from the Light Street Finger Piers at the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

Get driving directions and parking information.

How long are your cruises?

Our cruises vary in duration from 40 minutes up to 7.5 hours. Each cruise will list duration and departure information.

Can we bring our own food and beverages?

Guests are welcome to bring a snack or sandwich onto the boat. However, beverages are not permitted. Light snacks, beverages, and cocktails may be purchased on most of our cruises at our River Run Bar.

Do you have dinner cruises?

Watermark offers dinner cruises for private events only.  If you are interested in renting one of our vessels for a private dinner cruise, please visit Yacht Charters on the Bay for more information.

What is your weather policy?

We are constantly watching the weather forecast as safety is our number one priority. Our cruises will take place rain or shine.  If Watermark cancels a cruise due to severe weather, all guests will be notified and refunded in full.

What is your refund policy?

All tickets are final sale and non-refundable. All cruises are subject to cancellation due to severe weather, lack of participation, or mechanical breakdown. In the event Watermark cancels a cruise, a refund will be provided. Please see specific Day on the Bay to St. Michaels refund policy during checkout.

Are the boats safe?

All Watermark vessels are U.S. Coast Guard inspected and certified. They have emergency equipment including life jackets in the unlikely event they are needed. Guests who wish to wear a life jacket during the cruise are welcome to bring one.

Do I have to purchase tickets online?

Walk-ups are welcome!

Baltimore: Advance tickets for Baltimore cruises are available online (with a booking fee). Tickets for Baltimore cruises may also be purchased at the Watermark ticket kiosk located on the promenade of the Baltimore Inner Harbor and right in front of our boats on the Finger Piers. Please note that we only accept credit card, debit card, and contactless payments at our Baltimore location.

Can I bring my dog?

We love well-behaved, leashed dogs, and they ride free on our regularly scheduled cruises. We ask that owners on our boats clean up after their pets in the event that “nature calls.”

Can I bring my stroller?

Strollers are welcome aboard our tour boats. Our cruises are very family friendly.

Are your vessels handicap accessible?

Most of our boats are handicapped and wheelchair accessible with the exception of Miss Anne (40 minute Spa Creek tours) and the Water Taxis. Not all bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Please contact our sales office at 410-268-7601 x100 to discuss any special needs or requests. We’re happy to discuss the accessibility of each vessel or tour in detail.

Please visit our safety and accessibility page for more information.

Can I bring a bicycle on Day on the Bay to St. Michaels?

Unfortunately, due to limited space, we cannot accommodate bicycles on Day on the Bay to St. Michaels.

May guests smoke on the vessels?

To provide the most enjoyable environment for guests, staff, and our beautiful natural surroundings, smoking is not allowed on board.

Are your vessels climate controlled?

All Baltimore cruises are aboard climate-controlled vessels (main decks). In Annapolis, 90-minute cruises, Day on the Bay to St. Michaels Cruise, and Bay Lighthouses Cruise are on climate-controlled vessels (main decks). 40-minute Annapolis cruises are not typically on climate-controlled vessels.

Do you offer any discounts?

At Watermark, we want to remain a viable option for families to enjoy the history, culture, and fun of this region.  We are often asked about ticket discounts.   “Does Watermark offer (military; AAA; student; senior; etc) discounts?”  For parties under 30 guests, we do not.  Watermark believes that everyone deserves the best price.  Who doesn’t deserve a discount?  We strive to keep our ticket prices as low as possible for adults and children and to provide the best value to all.   Nothing gives us greater pleasure than seeing guests of all ages and backgrounds enjoy our boat rides and walking tours. Learn more about our group discounts.
