Watermark® Opens Another Season of Fun in Annapolis

Annapolis, MD – Spring is here! Watermark is happy to announce another season of fun as the 2015 season of daily walking tours and cruises kicks off this weekend. Annapolis’ iconic Harbor Queen returns to City Dock this Saturday, March 21. The familiar sound of her horn will surely help welcome Spring to Annapolis. Colonial tour guides are back on the streets leading walking tours every day beginning on Saturday. Watermark offers many fun ways to experience the Chesapeake Bay region every single day now through the Fall.

“At Watermark, we are happy to see the ice has melted away from the Harbor making way for Harbor Queen to return to her spot at City Dock. Our newest class of tour guides celebrated their graduation this week with a tea ceremony at the Chase Lloyd House and we’re finding everyone is ready to have some fun outside. All of Annapolis’ favorites are back plus we’ve added some new things to the schedule this year.” says Debbie Gosselin, president of Watermark. In the coming weeks, Miss Anne Spa Creek Tours will begin, 90-minute cruises will start running on weekends and Historic Ghost Walk will be back to spooking guests after dusk.

The first Special Event of the year, Cruise to the WineFest at St. Michaels takes place April 25th and 26th; a second boat was just added for Saturday’s trip. Longer cruises including Bay Lighthouses and Day on the Bay to St. Michaels start in May. A new cruise, Time and Tide: Tales of Annapolis & the Chesapeake Bay will feature a storyteller on board delivering a connection with the waters of Annapolis through rich and diverse legends and lore. Regular Water Taxi service begins in mid-May. More experiences than ever are available for pre-sale on Watermark’s websites and credit cards will now be accepted on all vessel’s bars including Harbor Queen’s freshly named “River Run Bar.”

Past Watermark guest “phuniegerl” wrote on TripAdvisor, “We jumped on one of Watermark’s 40 minute Bay cruises leaving downtown Annapolis and circling the bay, passing the Naval Academy. This was a wonderfully relaxing 40 minutes, with the weather completely cooperating with us. We had done the walking tour prior to this, so this gave our feet some welcomed rest. Various points of interest are pointed out and the crew is friendly and helpful. The cruise leaves every hour, on the hour, and you really don't have to pre-book it. You can just walk up and buy tickets. We would do it again.”

Past guest “Absuazo” wrote on TripAdvisor, “We took a walking tour of Annapolis and the Naval Academy with Richard. He was funny and engaging and knew more facts and history than I can imagine one human could retain! It was such a fun experience and a great way to learn more and see more of Annapolis.”
