The Baltimore Season Opens

Our Baltimore Cruising Season Opens this weekend on Sunday, April 9th and we couldn't be more excited to have our boats, Annapolitan II and Raven, back at home at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Here are 5 reasons why we're excited for the 2016 Season in Baltimore:

  1. Light City Baltimore. We got an early taste of the season this year with Light City Cruises. We couldn't resist taking part in the Light City Festival and sent our boats out for a few pre-season cruises to glimpse the Festival from the water. We enjoyed our spot adjacent to West Shore Park where music kept folks entertained all week long. It was really fun to see the city light up (pun intended!) with so much energy and watch the neighborhoods come together with different ways for people to enjoy this unique event. It's inspired us to plan more Special Event Cruises in B'more so stay tuned!
  2. New Looks for Our Boats. Raven is the newest vessel in our fleet but that doesn't mean we aren't always looking for new ways to "style" her. Over the winter Raven's purple hull was painted black. Her sleek exterior now better reflects her elegant interior. We love the way she looks and hope Baltimore does too! Raven stays busy with private charters but does offer public cruises too. If you'd like to cruise on Raven, plan a Legends of Maritime Baltimore Cruise or a Heart of Baltimore cruise (holiday weekends.) Annapolitan II, the heart of our Baltimore cruises, underwent a major renovation over the winter. She has a beautiful new (bigger!) bar, new upholstery and brighter, airier decor. Check her out any day of the week starting this Sunday.
  3. Maryland Brews on Board. The River Run Bar on Annapolitan II is now stocked with local brews! We are proud to serve Calvert Cream Ale and Good Company Pale Ale. Grab a local beer and kick back on the top deck for a cruise around Baltimore. Only in Maryland!
  4. Blue Angels in Baltimore. This October, Baltimore will host its inaugural Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore, a 6-day festival celebrating the rich naval traditions of the Chesapeake Bay and the contributions of Marylanders to the defense of the nation. Navy gray hulls will also return to Baltimore's famed Inner Harbor to celebrate and the Blue Angels will jet across the skies over Fort McHenry. We are stoked to again have the opportunity to take guests on Blue Angels Cruises in Baltimore! And this time we get four days! The Blue Angels will have practice demonstrations on October 13 and 14 and demonstration days on October 15 and 16. We'll have all of our boats in town for the event. Tickets are already on sale. In addition, schooners and U.S. and allied navy vessels will be ready for boarding visitors in the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Locust Point.
  5. You! We miss our guests over the winter and we're so happy to be back on the promenade of the Inner Harbor meeting people and talking with locals and visitors. It's also great to welcome our crew members back to work in Baltimore. Our boats are home, we are home...hello Baltimore!
