One of our specialties at Watermark is youth travel and educational experiences for students. When Future Business Leaders of America reached out to us earlier this year and asked if we'd host students coming to Baltimore for a National Conference we jumped at the chance.
At the end of each year, Watermark teammembers come together for a cause. Over pizza and teamwork, we decorate Harbor Queen – in many ways, the prized jewel of our fleet – with lights, inflatable snowmen and any oversized holiday ribbon or piece of décor we can find. Our Queen is transformed into a Lady with a mission: raise funds and collect food for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank.
October is a stand-out month in downtown Annapolis. The Boat Shows come to town and, also, the ghosts come out to play! Our ghost tour expands and we bring people inside historic – and often haunted – homes for Special Historic Hauntings. This year, discover your own ghost story in the Sands House!
Each month our Captains get together for educational opportunities with each gathering having a different theme and topic for discussion. In spite of the cancellation of the 2015 Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade and the tragic fire downtown the afternoon of the event, The Queen of All Food Drives still took place resulting in a record donation amount to the Food Bank of Anne Arundel County.
